Due to apparent confusion, the title of this petition has been altered only in that the use of the word "moratorium" has seemingly prevented people from reading beyond the headline.

Given that the petition has aways stated "Until the true impacts on wildlife and habitat are known" within the conclusion, it seemed prudent to alter the heading to reflect that.

Also, the WONDERFUL news that a ban is now in place across Victoria preventing land owners and hunters from killing wombats.  Thank you to Andy Meddick MP and indeed the Victorian Government for agreeing to it.

There is MUCH more for all states, and the federal government to do.

The recent (and horrific) koala deaths had to also been mentioned.  

Koalas deserve much more than a mere mention, but to do so on this petition would detract from the fact that this is about ALL wildlife and the need to protect them and preserve their habitat across the country.
