LAMBIE WINS SENATE HEARING INTO JEDI COUNCIL INVESTIGATION LIES AND FAILURES
Geoff Shafran

Dec 2, 2016
It is with mixed feelings that I announce that Jacqui Lambie had a motion passed through Senate for the Senate Standing Committees on Foreign Affairs Defence and Trade to investigate the so called Jedi Council matter. All of Labor and the Cross Benchers supported the motion.
The notice of the motion took the following form:
1. New evidence, recently uncovered in a secret NSW Police report (Strike Force CIVET) indicates that a senior civilian police officer, Detective Sergeant XXXXX claims that, senior ADF officers and Australian Defence Force Investigative Services (ADFIS) staff deliberately lie, withhold evidence and fabricate information in relation to serious crime, including alleged sexual assault.
2. NSW Police Strike Force CIVET report indicates that ADFIS is not to be trusted and NSW police’s conduct of future investigations into and with the ADF must be viewed with caution and concern.
3. NSW Police Strike Force CIVET report casts serious doubt over the ADFIS’s ability to operate, with independence, integrity and honesty.
4. NSW Police Strike Force CIVET report – raises serious questions about the honesty, trustworthiness and integrity of then Chief of Army and present Australian of the Year - retired Lt General Morrison and all senior members of the Military - who were involved with managing and investigating the ADF’s Jedi Council sex scandal.
5. NSW Police Strike Force CIVET report notes that serious crime has been committed by ADFIS staff and others during their investigation into the Jedi Council, however fails to indicate if the alleged perpetrators – have been brought to justice.
6. In an effort to protect Army’s public reputation, many innocent ADF members, including retired Lt Col Dubsky were the victims of deliberate and illegal media leaks from the ADF – which breached their right to privacy and other fundamental human rights, while causing catastrophic mental and physical harm to those ADF members and their families.
7. Calls on the government to refer the ADF’s Jedi Council Sex Scandal and all other related matters to the Senate FADT Reference Committee for investigation to determine if a referral to the Australian Federal Police is necessary, should the facts indicate official or corrupt misconduct within the ADF, reporting by 7th February 2017.
I would like to thank Senator Lambie and her Chief of Staff, Mr Rob Messenger for attaining what will be a full investigation into Mr Morrison's mishandling of this matter.
All I wanted was an apology but now it would appear many people will be held to account for supporting Mr Morrison's deliberate attempts to circumvent due process and natural justice.
If these findings are proven to be true then Mr Morrison will be responsible for betraying 'his' Army and only God can forgive him for that.
The webpage refers to the Committee's intended action.
