We’re thrilled to announce that Samantha Ratnam, the Greens candidate for the federal electorate of Wills, has officially joined our campaign! If elected in the upcoming federal election, Samantha has pledged to table this petition as one of her first actions in Parliament.

Samantha has a long-standing commitment to supporting First Nations peoples. During her time as a Councillor at Merri-Bek Council in Brunswick, she played a pivotal role as a member of the Reconciliation Advisory Committee. Under her leadership, Merri-Bek became one of the first local councils to move away from celebrating Australia Day on January 26, setting an important precedent for meaningful change.
