Ye, the rapper formerly known as Kanye West, was recently stripped of his Australian visa after releasing a song titled “Heil Hitler” — widely condemned as an antisemitic tribute to Adolf Hitler.

Australia’s Home Affairs Minister stated plainly: “We have enough problems in this country already without deliberately importing bigotry.”

Now, Slovakia is preparing to welcome Ye as a headliner.

Ye is scheduled to perform on July 20, 2025, at the Rubicon Festival in Bratislava, his only confirmed European appearance this year. 

The festival will host other international artists, but giving a platform to Ye sends a dangerous message — one that normalizes hate and antisemitism.

This isn’t censorship. It’s about refusing to elevate voices that glorify violence and promote hate speech.

We urge Slovak authorities and Rubicon Festival organizers to follow Australia’s lead and cancel Ye’s performance. Slovakia must take a stand against antisemitism and uphold its responsibility to reject dangerous rhetoric.
