The City of Austin is arguing that the man- made Nland surf lagoon is a pool, and therefore under the jurisdiction of the city Health and Human Services department. The fresh water surf lagoon is NOT a pool, it uses rainwater, and is in fact outside Austin city limits. This park is an environmentally friendly design and the only one of its kind in the United States. -Why isn't the city of Austin setting an example and getting behind this instead of standing in the way?
