Petition updateAUBURN UNIVERSITY: ADDRESS C-ZONE PARKING PROBLEM

THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR SUGGESTIONS

I was reading through the tremendous amount of comments made on the suggestions Google Form I made yesterday for commuter students - thank you all so much who offered some great alternatives, and also for those who gave their honest opinion even though our opinions differ. Of course, there are going to be people that disagree, and I totally respect EVERYONE's opinion - however, I strongly believe that credit should be given when it is due and we should not tear down other people if opinions differ. Someone made the comment: "People such as yourself, wanting to get home to play with your dog "faster" need to think of the larger picture and not just yourself." If you know me, you know that I don't put up with that kind of treatment. ALL of you know that my cover photo is simply a joke and is a playful way to get people involved with my petition. 1) If YOU are the person that left that comment on the Google Form, know I respect your opinion, but there was no need for that malicious comment. Clearly you've made the effort to go to my profile to see my cover photo, so this issue has a big enough footprint that led you to my profile page in the first place - OR if you're on my friends list - shame on you for making such a comment under an anonymous form hidden behind a keyboard. 2) If you feel the need to attack someone's character based off of trying to be an advocate for others with similar frustrations, shame on you. I'm thinking about the growth of Auburn University and the City of Auburn, which should correspond to the accommodation of its students. I am simply just trying to find a happy medium that perhaps will satisfy students, faculty, and staff. I meet with Mr. Andrae this Friday at 3:00 to discuss my presentation. The meeting with the Traffic and Parking Committee will be held in the Training Room at Facilities Building One at 1161 W. Samford Avenue at 9am on Monday, October 2nd. For those who have supported me in the past couple of weeks - thank you all so much.
