Petition updateJUSTICE FOR JAEA year in time
Sarah RoseRussellville, TN, United States
May 24, 2022

This time a year ago Jaelyn was focusing on her future.  She knew that life was full of ups and downs but she knew there was nothing she couldn’t do if she set her heart on it.  Sadly her future was to end a short month later.  Taken by a a remorseless, unfeeling, drunk and distracted driver.  A firefighter/EMT who knew the possible consequences of his actions.  But he thought he was invincible and I guess he was, because you see he walked away after crossing lanes of traffic to end the life of our Jaelyn.

Jaelyn’s future, her dreams, all the love she had to share, all over in an instant.  No chance to say goodbye. Just gone.  Her murderer has been charged and a court date set for July 14.  There is nothing that can happen to him that is comparable to what he has robbed Jaelyn, her family and friends of.

We appreciate everyone who has shared in our journey, one we did not want, to support our petition with a signature or a donation.  Tami, Jaelyn’s mom, draws a lot of strength from the support that you give,  to bring awareness to drunk and distracted driving and to honor Jaelyn’s memory.

Tami, Jaelyn’s mom, continues to work with local news media, MADD, and other organizations to promote awareness for drunk and distracted driving across our state.  Through this petition and various social media outlets Jaelyn has reached far beyond state lines. Though she may not be here physically, her story continues to change and save lives and for that we are grateful.

We remember and honor Jaelyn here:
