So the person that took Jaelyn’s life has suffered very few consequences. He was released within a few hours , with no remorse for what he had done.  We currently wait to be notified of a court date to get proceedings started.  It’s hard to know that he continued with his life as if nothing has happened, but we have faith that he will be punished and that change in laws can occur when conviction is final.
