Thankyou for all of your support. Tonight I have written again to the QLD Premier and also Beaudesert Times seeking their support. It is now 11 days since Bandit was impounded unlawfully after being attacked on our property by a dog from next door. The Council gathered no evidence, took no photos, provided no process, no timelines and now is refusing visitation. This is all being run by the Senior Ranger Kylie Addy of the Scenic Rim Regional Council. This QLD Public Servant stated (after I asked when he would be released) "well he can't stay in there long as its too small" along with "I can keep him as long as I like". It is now 11 days and he is still being held with no sunlight or exercise and is very stressed. To date the Mayor Greg Christensen and our Councillor Nadia Oconnell refuse to respond. I have lodged a claim in the Beenleigh District Court seeking an injunction and remedies for what only can be described as ongoing torture of our Daughter's 18 month old puppy. Yesterday and again today I contacted the QLD RSPCA and am awaiting advice on their welfare check of the puppy. The Reference number is 637249. Specifically Bandit is being housed in inhumane conditions behind the Council Chambers that are approx 1.2 x 1.8 metres and has had no exercise for 11 days. This evening I have also lodged a complaint with the QLD Ombudsman. It is hard to believe that in 2017 we have Local Councils following no policy, process or timeframe while damaging an animal. SRRC have appointed a law firm (King and Co) who this evening have advised we can not visit Bandit for 2 weeks due to staff "shortages". Its obvious the Council are now fabricating a claim of our Daughters dog being a problem as they have no evidence. Meanwhile I see Kylie Addy the Senior Ranger is out buying new horses for her kids. Outrageous.
