On March 15, 2021 the Egg Harbor Town Board Members voted unanimously to deny the Dollar General Proposal (by Peter Oleszczuk of Midwest Property Development) for the intersection of Hwy 42/Hillside Rd. The denial reasons cited were based on Town Ordinances for Roads &  Driveways along with traffic and safety concerns. Our Town Board listened to the overwhelming public opposition and did the right thing to preserve the scenic, unique, rural character of our Town from this proposal.             In July 2021, the property (2 lots at the intersection of Hwy 42/Hillside Rd) has been purchased by another party (with local ties) who has no plans to develop at this time.
