Every time the affected 53K+ Atlanta property owners pay the illegal fees, the City gets our money, and we get nothing in return. 

This petition asks for REPEAL! The City is still positioned to collect $28M or more annually for these same ILLEGAL FEES. 

On 18 October 2021, the Atlanta City Council approved a class action settlement fund of $19M. They DIDN'T REPEAL the illegal solid waste charges.

Considering that they've improperly billed $84M in the illegal waste fees, is only $19M even close to enough? We ask our lawmakers to repeal the illegal fees.

For reference: Amendments to City Code § 130-84 took the forms of City Ordinance 18-O-1300, which amended the solid waste fees effective April 1, 2019; and City Ordinance 19-O-1297, which amended the multi-family unit fee.
