Humanity for All

Dec 14, 2017
Hello all dear Greek people and people from all over Europe!
We, four sisters, along with 31 other refugees, left Moria camp almost two months ago, and now, for more than one month, are sleeping in your cold streets. We were on hunger strike, we were beaten by your police and fascist people, we were arrested, we were humiliated, we heard bad words and, in the end when we saw there was no safe place for us, we had to go to one of the government offices because all these things happened from the Greece government to us.
Now we are in Syriza's office for more than 10 days in the hope that the Greece government will do something for us; for 35 people.
Our requests are:
1. That they release #hesam_shaeri_hesari from prison and that they do not deport him to Iran
2. That they give these 35 refugees papers so that they can leave Lesvos.
Our requests are so small and insignificant that we never thought that we would get beaten by the police and hear so many bad words.
We had so much hope of your Greek people that we couldn't believe that those things came from you. We know that you don't want us stay in your country anymore, and we also don't have any safety here. So we want to request you people and your government to let Hesam Shaeri go free and let us leave your country.
Please don't let your government threaten and condemn us anymore and use us for their dirty political game.
14th of December, at 11 o'clock, there was a peaceful protest at Moria refugees camp in Mytilini.
#Moria camp is one of the most famous and dangerous camps, that for many years has seen violations of human rights taking place at the hands of the police, the government and the camp's authorities. Now, after many years, human rights activists, #refugees, lawyers and many different associations are trying to close this camp.
For many years refugees were beaten by police, and many of them arrested and detained. For many years, #people have been dying because of the cold weather and lack of any heating facilities, sanitary provisions etc. The police, the government, the mayor, the head of the Moria camp and the left party of Greece are still in violation of basic human rights!. They don't care about anything and don't want to close this dangerous camp!
Moria camp, with a 1500 capacity, has more than 6000 people, including women and kids. So many inhumane and unethical events happen every day including, of course, the deportation of refugees to unsafe countries!
How is it possible that when 35 refugees want to leave Lesvos and yet no one answers us? No Greek government, no asylum service, no police, not even anyone from their parliament and also no people who saw our situation during these last 2 months! 35 refugees, including women and children, are in really difficult situation - or maybe it is that these 35 refugees became like instruments in their hands to play with them.
We mustn't forget that there are some women and children who sleeping outside in this cold weather for more than 50 days and that they got hurt by police and fascist people in Mytilini!
If anything happen to them who is going to respond?
So tomorrow, once again, the refugees will protest against all these human rights violations. They will go to the center, the square of Mytilini and will ask the Greek people for their help. The refugees are demanding to close the Moria camp and to open the border of #Lesvos for them to be free of this big #prison!
We have hope that you people, reporters, activists and anyone who still has conscience, will stand in solidarity with us until the refugees obtain their #freedom.
#Mytilini squre, Lesvos Island, #Greece.
