Pet Express is a  chain retail pet store in the Liberty Tree Mall in Danvers, Massachusetts that keeps puppies in small glass cages that are way too small for a puppy to be in as they wait for a forever home. In this box they eat, drink, sleep, play and poop. Only problem is there is only space for about three of those things in the glass box. I took it upon myself to go in and ask to play with one of the puppies. I sat behind a gate in a not very spacious hexagon shaped area as the puppy got handed to me. Immediately she went and jumped on the door of the gated area and kept jumping as if she could actually jump over it but she was too small. She even did a few flips trying to jump. Then I just took her in my arms said "shhh it's okay" and she calmed down a little. Her tail finally started wagging and she played with me. The woman at the store stood over us watching the whole time and after 3 minutes the puppy had to go back. That is not enough time for a puppy to get exercise. When the store worker took the sweet puppy from me her tail immediately went between her legs. It was heart breaking. I cried when i left. It’s time to make a change.

This was the first time I had ever walked by the Pet Club Express at the Liberty Tree Mall in Danvers, MA. I had to start shooting on my camera phone when I saw this poor puppy (ON SALE FOR $900) being neglected. There was a huge dark mark in the corner from all the scratching. So many cages stacked up in the store, too... all puppies. PLEASE ADOPT ( http://www.petfinder.com/ )- DO NOT SUPPORT THESE STORES. END PUPPY MILLS.
