Justice For Mocha - 3 lb Yorkie Killed by Violent Man

Justice For Mocha - 3 lb Yorkie Killed by Violent Man
The Issue
On Saturday, March 14, 2020 a couple were walking their dogs when they noticed a man, Peter Galantino, walking his dog in front of them. Peter Galantino’s dog proceeded to defecate on the grass between the sidewalk and the street. The couple asked him to clean it up and he denied his dog did anything. The couple said they saw his dog defecate and with that Peter Galantino turned around and approached the couple and violently kicked their 3 lb Yorkshire Terrier 15 Feet in the air. The Yorkie landed on the concrete and the owner quickly picked her up and took her to the vet where she died.
The couple called the police and attempted to have Galantino arrested but he fled to Tampa before police could get to him.
Peter Galantino was finally arrested 10 days later on March 24th but only after Nassau County PD threatened to extradite him from Tampa.
His arraignment was supposed to have been June 2 and is now pushed to September 9. The arraignment will take place at Nassau County District Court at 99 Main Street, Hempstead. A strong presence at his arraignment would be greatly appreciated as we are trying to get justice for this sweet, beloved, innocent dog who was taken too soon. This heinous crime should not go unpunished.
Peter Galantino was arraigned on one count of AML 353a, a class E felony.
Updates to follow when more information regarding the next court date is available. As always, thank you for your continued support.
March 14, 2021 will mark one year since Peter Galantino violently kicked and killed Mocha. Peter Galantino has hired a new attorney, further delaying the process. The next court is March 18, 2021. Please repost and spread awareness so justice can be served. Thank you.
