Asking parliamentarians to move beyond sanction, condemnation, and diplomatic protests against the regime in Iran, by cutting diplomatic ties and designating its Ministry of Information and Revolutionary Guard Corp, as terrorist entities. #Cut diplomatic Relation. # Minister of information terrorist # IRGC terrorist #Iran #freedom.

For over a year, people of Iran have been protesting daily, against the brutal regime governing their country.  These protests, triggered by the death of Mahsa Amini, a 22 year old woman who was arrested and killed by the so called "Morality Police" because of her "inappropriate hijab", have spread throughout Iran and many other countries around the world.

Over the past 40 years, due to the regime's human rights violations, lack of freedoms, social injustices, economic instability and extensive corruptions, the people of Iran have used any opportunity to show their discontent and try to topple this regime.  Incarceration and killing of thousands of political prisoners are the proof of these attempts.

But what differentiates the current protests in Iran, to the many protests over the years, is its continuity and increasing nationwide spread.

Despite more than 750 deaths, including over 60 children and adolescents, and at least 30,000 arrests and incarcerations and public executions, the demonstrations and unrest continue and have spread to over 282 cities in Iran and many countries worldwide.

These demonstrations and rallies have been so powerful, that they have prompted many leaders in Europe, US and Canada, alongside other international communities, to express their support of the movement in Iran, and condemnation of the regime's treatment of protesters.

The international condemnations and declarations and sanctions, although appreciated by the Iranian people, have had no effect on the brutality of this regime, as it continues its oppression by arresting, convicting and executing the demonstrators.

Regime's alarming increase in executions has become a grave concern.  For instance, since the beginning of 2023, at least 800 prisoners have been executed in Iran by hanging.

At this critical juncture, the people of Iran expect the G7 and other developed countries to take some concrete and practical steps in support of their struggles to put an end to this brutal regime, and establish freedom and democracy in Iran, and as a result, security and stability in the region.

We, the undersigned, ask the leaders of the parties in parliaments, in G7 and other developed countries, in an open session, to discuss the Iranian protests, and pass bills on the following items:

  1. Recognizing the Iranian people's legitimate right to defend themselves in their struggle for freedom against this regime.
  2. Designating the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corp and the Islamic Republic Ministry of Information, as terrorist entities.
  3. Closing the regime's embassy and expelling their representatives from your country.

The Iranian people are looking to you for your support and effective actions, so they could put an end to this brutal regime and establish freedom and democracy in their country.
