An Opinion
What can Iranians and the world expect from the newly elected president in Iran?
Domestically
Not much should be expected, as the real decision-maker, the regime's leader, has not changed. This president may create unrealistic hopes among some Iranians, which will only serve to prolong the life of this regime. As the economic hard ship and social crises are made by regime leader.
Iranians have experienced life under so-called reformist presidents and have not seen any changes in the harsh economic and social conditions. They don't expect any shifts in the regime's policies. One changes should be expected is internal fighting between hardliner and so call reformist in the area of corruption.
Internationally
Given that the regime in the last parliamentary election ,has consolidated its system with the most hardliner elements of society and foreign policies are made by the regime's leader, and no changes in the structure of IRGC which is under direction of regime leader the world should not anticipate any changes from in its warmongering and terrorist activities.
Over the past 40 years, the regime in Iran has seen both hardliners and so-called reformist presidents. However, the internal and international policies of this regime have not improved and have even deteriorated.
One important events happen in the last few years have been protests by majority of Iranians. The recent elections have shown that the regime in Iran has lost the support of >80% of Iranians.
Even the regime's leader acknowledged the low turnout for the last election. This suggests the regime's illegitimacy, which is now recognized by the world and admitted by the regime's leader. It is time for this regime to go. The UN , other international bodies and free governments should not recognized this regime as Iranian representative and help Iranians the transition to a democratic government.
