Remove tax on pet foods #NoToTaxOnPetFood
The Issue
- We all know times are hard and whilst there are schemes to try to support humans, many people are going to struggle to feed their pets. Pet food is already becoming more and more expensive and animals will suffer. If people can’t afford to feed pets will they be forced to abandon them or hand them over to rescues that are already at breaking point because of so many ‘lockdown pets’ being abandoned. Animals don’t deserve to suffer and I propose that pet foods should become zero rated and have the tax removed to help people with pets and rescues.
