Page 10 of the 2022 Women's Aid report/audit covers age. It states that:

' Although the Crime Survey for England and Wales does not capture the
experiences of older women, with their sample not exceeding women over the age of 74, it can be used to demonstrate that young women are an at-risk group for domestic abuse. In the year ending March 2020 women aged 16 to 19 years were significantly more likely to be victims of any domestic abuse in the last year than women aged 25 years and over (ONS, 2020).

This is why I am calling on the government to make teaching domestic abuse and healthy relationships mandatory in all state SIXTH FORMS and 16-19 ACADEMIES.

We need to stop neglecting this age group, it shouldn't just be mandatory in secondary school and then stopped at sixth form/ college. Education MUST carry on.

Prevention is key.
