Update on CB 121215

Last week City Council Land Use Committee voted with two abstentions to pass Eddie Lin's appeal prohibition bill CB121215 out of committee to full council. Check out these Seattle Times pieces by the Seattle Times Editorial Board and Lois Martin for more information. 

The bill is scheduled to return for vote July 28th. Please ask Council@seattle.gov to rewrite this bill before they cause irreversible and unintended harm.  Revise, not revoke.

In the meantime, the Orca Appeal has added anti-displacement claims to the appeal - we are now fighting against displacement of the endangered orcas and people. The City also did not create anti-displacement protections.
