First off, thank you for signing our petition for equitable development in Durham’s Braggtown neighborhood. You and over 1,750 people joined forces to fight for fairness and equity in Braggtown development.

At the public hearing for this development project, Durham’s County Commissioners were so impressed with our community response that they granted a two-month delay, instructing the developers to sincerely engage with Braggtown community leaders to revise and improve the impact of the development.

Currently, we are negotiating with the developers to incorporate community recommendations into their development plans. Depending on how the negotiations proceed over the next two weeks, we may need your voice at the next public hearing on August 11.
