Earlier this week, US heavy metal band Mastodon announced their 2026 European tour, which includes only one UK date — a festival appearance at Download Festival on June 14th.

This has been extremely frustrating for UK and Irish fans, as the band have not done a proper headline tour here since 2019. Download Festival also takes a lot of time, money, and planning to attend, which means many fans are unable to go.

That is why this petition is asking Mastodon and their management to add more UK and Ireland headline dates to the tour.

With a 10th studio album due out soon, now feels like the right time for the band to reconnect properly with their UK and Irish fanbase. One festival date simply isn’t enough for a fanbase that has supported them for so many years.

UK fans have been left disappointed, and many feel overlooked by this decision.

Whether this petition gets 10 signatures or 1,000, what matters most is showing how much the UK and Ireland fanbase cares. We deserve more than one festival date, and we deserve the chance to see Mastodon live without having to rely on a single event.
