We couldn’t find any community who was being asked to accept living with a Metro train 20 feet from their FRONT DOORS anywhere in Los Angeles. But look and listen to what it’s like having a Metro train 60 feet from where you WITH A SOUND WALL:

So, can you can imagine how much worse it’ll be when it is a FREIGHT TRAIN that is moved to within 25 feet of your FRONT DOOR?! 🤯

Believe it or not, Metro proposes to move an existing freight train closer to family homes between 162nd and 170th St. along Condon Avenue in Lawndale, so that two Metro tracks can be squeezed right next to it.
