This piece of cinema, though a masterpiece of plot, music, and cultural relevance, was left in the shadows of the spotlight deserved by 'Disney classics' for reasons I have never understood. 

Despite modern neglect, this enchanting tale made a return in the 21st century when, in 2016, Ghostlight Records took on the initiative to record, produce, and release a studio album inspired by "The Hunchback of Notre Dame." They included songs from the beloved yet overlooked 1996 film, enriching it with additional compositions that echoed its timeless melodies. (Esmeraldaaaa!(

However, the story truly belongs on stage, where live performances can bring the characters and themes to life in the most tangible and heartfelt way.

Disney has the means and magic to turn "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" into a Broadway sensation. Imagine Esmeralda's tambourine and spirited defiance lighting up the stage. Picture Frollo shamelessly yearning as he plots Esmeralda's demise. I need the echoes of a LIVE orchestro swallow the room as Quasimodo unleashes a heart-rending cry for sanctuary. This musical can not only honor the original film's legacy but also reach new heights with elaborate stage production, stirring choreography, and those iconic Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz compositions.
