Ask COP26 leaders to take urgent action against climate change

The Issue

Time is running out. The climate crisis will destroy more than 167 million homes around the world in the next 20 years if we don’t act now.

This is scary and overwhelming – but we have an opportunity to make a difference right now. In November, the UK government hosts the 26th UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) and vital decisions will be made that affect us all.

We're urging global leaders to make stronger and more urgent commitments to help slow the impact of climate change.

Please take 30 seconds to sign our petition and show that you stand against climate injustice. Join us as we urge world leaders to:

  1. HELP PEOPLE RIGHT NOW: Acknowledge that the climate crisis is a humanitarian crisis robbing millions of their homes. We urgently need to provide emergency shelter for those facing these devastating disasters.
  2. HELP PEOPLE AGAINST FUTURE DISASTERS: Commit climate funding to long-term and local projects to help vulnerable communities adapt their homes and lifestyles. Disaster-resilient housing, sustainable livelihoods and improved warning systems can all help people withstand future climate disasters.
  3. WORK TOGETHER: The governments of leading economies must work together to ensure climate resilience building is globally prioritised.

At ShelterBox, we support those bearing the brunt of extreme weather around the world. We provide emergency shelter to communities who are losing homes and livelihoods every day - to increasingly severe drought, floods and hurricanes.

Help us send an urgent message to our world leaders to act now. Add your name now.
