As many of you know, Midnite Society Tattoo has been fighting for the past several months to earn a spot in downtown Ashland in the Arts District. They have gone about things through all the proper channels, and have patiently waited on an outdated ordinance to be amended so they can complete their vision to build a community and arts driven space that is inclusive to all people in our downtown area. They wish build a destination location, and to be included as a part of our downtown revitalization.  They wowed the Planning Commission with a perfect presentation and received an almost unanimous yes from the planning commission. As many of you know, yesterday they were met with a strong no at the Commissioners meeting. They were ready to relocate after this no, because in order to execute their total vision to expand and create a destination location that is aimed at tourism, they need a downtown location, but after a community outpouring of support they have decided they will continue to fight. We are asking for your continued support to help them amend Ordinance 101 by redefining the definition of adult use to include body art services as a permitted use in zones b-2 & b-3.
