Let Me Make One Thing Clear

"I drive a car that runs on oil. I use natural gas on a daily basis. I come in contact with fossil fuels in almost everything I do. In our nation, it is hard to get away from something we have relied on, whether from our own soils or foreign, since the late 1800s. But let me make one thing clear. MY health and safety as a human being, citizen of the United States, and protector of the Earth should never, ever be jeopardized for the pockets of the few. The few who constantly, for the past 15 years, have FAILED in following simple safety protocols. The few who do not care for the possible humanitarian and environmental implications of a pipeline under major waterways. The few who are slipping through loopholes in laws, and are expecting the general public to be uneducated on it all. The few who have approved for the Natural State to have even more of an impending threat of yet another oil spill without taking into consideration the thoughts of those who live here too. My job is not to make you see my side, or make you believe what I think. My job is not to tell you to get rid of your car, live in darkness, or to eat only veggies. My purpose is to educate you on a pipeline company that is about to destroy our natural environment, whether today or 10 years from now, because our legislators would rather take the cheap route to fossil fuels than the safe one.
