Let Us Be Thankful- Managed Care Becomes a Real Posibility for AR Medicaid Recipients

Managed care, a value-based healthcare model, is a looming threat for Arkansas Medicaid recipients. This would help the state control costs though most likely an outsourced company compiled of nurses and social workers that assist patients and their families. While this may seem like a great idea theoretically, it threatens even more reduction in therapy for Medicaid recipients targeting specifically special needs children, elder care, and behavioral health care. Let's all take a moment to think of the ways in which we have been greatful to the state for providing these invaluable services and show our appreciation.
