Save Children's Library Services - Denbighshire Bookstart
The Issue
Denbighshire Bookstart Sessions are under threat from funding cuts by Denbighshire County Council.
These bilingual sessions of play, stories and singing are run by a wonderful team of ladies who engage every child and enable parents/grandparents to be confident in educating their children from day one. Every session is well attended, often standing room only.
We have already seen library hours cut and Amser Twf finish. Baby groups are so limited already, to see Bookstart sessions cut, or even reduced, would be detrimental to children's early eduction.
We call upon Denbighshire CC to:
Maintain, or increase, current provision
Keep Auntie Donna, Auntie Nina and Auntie Glen entertaining, educating and stimulating our children
