Call for a Change in IHEG's Practices
The Issue
Reporting on IHEG’s treatment of entertainment workers, artists, and audiences includes*:
- A pattern of reported labor law violations, including wage theft and intimidation
- Reportedly subjecting artists, audiences, and entertainment workers to extreme heat and cold, causing Vanessa Carlton to call for a boycott in 2017
- Complaints by IATSE Local 232 in 2011 and 2012 for negotiating in bad faith
- Reportedly compensating entertainment workers significantly less than the industry standard
