In a week I'll be sitting in the Supreme Court here in Goose Bay, NL, waiting to speak to the charter application I started back in 2014 via video conferencing. My request is simple. Not to have anyone found guilty of inciting genocide, but simply to point out that the law as written does not protect the general population from bad faith interpretations by the politicians in power and their appointed lawyers. I believe certain clauses violate the rule of law and the principles of fundamental justice and therefore need to be found non-compliant to the Charter and corrected. The judge may not care to hear the matter. I'm up against a fairly prejudicial situation given that my detainment still hasn't been clarified by the courts, despite being seen as unlawful by the Court of Appeal 7 months ago. My son is still being traumatized by the courts here in the province. He's only 2 and has no idea why he's being put through hell repeatedly. I don't have much faith that the judicial system is operating correctly in this province. It's an archaic system, laced with racism and sexism and prejudice. This will be my last attempt at speaking truth to power in this province.
