Everyone who has signed and shared this petition deserves a massive pat on the back, thank you all so much. The Committee haven't replied to my last two emails, so I sent another this morning telling them, I have no other choice but to take this to the press. I have done that this morning and Journal.ie have replied and I'm hoping to speak to them today. I will give the organizers of this medieval pig race event, one more night and then I will launch an event page on FB for a peaceful protest. This protest will be held a little bit away from the race itself, for the protection of the children, protesters and of course pigs. This protest will bring only negative press to this otherwise marvelous festival and I don't relish the idea of that all. It will also put my town is a very backward light and I have no wish to do that either. Arklow is a wonderful town with wonderful people, it's just a shame a handful think frightening the life out of pigs is fun. The mental strain on these animals is very evident to see, and I won't rest till this race is pulled from Arklow Seabreeze Festival once an for all.
