It's been a few months since our last update, but ANWR is back in the news. As talks to open the land for leasing enter their final stages, the fight has shifted toward the world's largest banks. Without their financing, even a green light from the Trump administration likely won't be enough to move the project forward. 

Three of the six largest banks--JP Morgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Goldman Sachs--have already publicly committed to not financing exploration and drilling in ANWR, and we thank them for their commitments to preserving this pristine region and understanding that more oil is not the answer.

The remaining banks who HAVE NOT made such proclamations are Citigroup, Bank of America, and Morgan Stanley. 

We believe this is a critical moment in this struggle and it is a moment during which we can make a meaningful impact. We are asking our petition signers to please consider chipping in a few dollars to help finance a campaign to pressure the remaining banks to publicly reject financing drilling in this region.
