On January 6 the Commonwealth Transportation Board awarded the additional $4.6M needed to advance the George Snyder Trail. The lowest bidder has agreed to honor its bid until January 16 to allow Fairfax City Council time to vote to accept that funding. That vote will take place at the Tuesday January 13 City Council public hearing.

The next step is to convince the Council to accept the $4.6M. However, some council members have shown reluctance to accept the funds. Here is where we need your help or all our efforts on behalf of the trail may go to waste. We need to convince them to vote yes on the funding issue on the January 13 public hearing.
