The range provides a valuable service to area law enforcement agencies. They are a safe and family-friendly outdoor shooting range. The range is not open to the public and no shooting occurs there unsupervised by trained staff. The owners have provided all requested documentation and have been more than willing to work within guidelines suggested by the Benton County Planning Commission. The vote was tainted by the personal and professional leanings of one of its members and based on unsupported hearsay coming from a man with a history of long-term litigious activity against one of the range partners. Nighthawk Custom Training Academy does important work in training individuals who own and operate firearms legally as is their right under the second amendment.
