Appoint Imran Khan as Oxford University Chancellor

Appoint Imran Khan as Oxford University Chancellor
The Issue
Imran Khan has touched many lives as a cricketer, philanthropist, and leader. His unparalleled service to Pakistan and his longstanding commitment to the improvement and accessibility of education in our country symbolize hope and resilience for us all. Tragically, Imran Khan is currently incarcerated, which for many contradicts the principles of justice and freedom.
We believe that installing him as Chancellor of Oxford University would not only provide a much-needed symbol of hope, support, and recognition for his long-standing efforts but also send a strong message about the role of education in societal development and respect for the political leaders committed to the betterment of their community.
Imran Khan is an Oxford University alumnus (1975), and he has been a prominent advocate for education in his native Pakistan. He established the Namal University in Mianwali in 2008, and since 1997, his PTI party has placed significant importance on education reforms.
We demand that Oxford University acknowledges Imran Khan's strides in education, his fight for justice, and his community contributions by considering him worthy of the position of Chancellor. Make an act that can symbolize the recognition and necessity of education around the world and the crucial part our political leaders play in paving the way for such reforms.
Sign this petition to support the appointment of Imran Khan as Oxford University Chancellor. This is more than political support; it's about standing for freedom, justice, and the recognition of dedication to education.
