We, the undersigned members of the Armenian community residing in Australia and New Zealand, come together to express our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to His Eminence Archbishop Haigazoun Najarian for his outstanding leadership and dedicated service as Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Australia and New Zealand for over the last 12 years.

As Archbishop Najarian prepares for his well-deserved retirement, we believe it is essential to ensure a seamless transition and to continue the legacy of strong leadership and guidance within our community.

Therefore, we respectfully petition His Holiness, to consider Bishop Vardan Navasardyan as the successor to Archbishop Najarian and appoint him as the new Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Australia and New Zealand.

During his previous tenure in Sydney from 2005 to 2008, Bishop Vardan Navasardyan had a profound impact on the Armenian community of Australia and New Zealand. His leadership, dedication, and tireless efforts were deeply appreciated by all who had the privilege of working with him. Despite the brevity of his time in our region, Bishop Navasardyan left an indelible mark on our community, and we believe his return would be met with great enthusiasm and support to help foster the growth of our community.

We trust that Bishop Navasardyan possesses the qualities, experience, and vision necessary to lead our diocese with integrity, compassion, and a deep commitment to the spiritual and cultural welfare of our community. His past contributions and demonstrated leadership capabilities make him eminently qualified for the position of Primate.

We ask His Holiness to gratefully consider our petition. We believe that Bishop Vardan Navasardyan's appointment as Primate would not only honour Archbishop Najarian's legacy but also usher in a new era of growth, unity, and prosperity for our diocese.
