APPLE must compensate millions of iPhone 12 users
The Issue

The NGO Phonegate Alert and the numerous international organizations mobilized alongside it are asking national and European authorities to recall all iPhones 12 5G (model A2403) sold in Europe and that current owners be compensated by Apple.
For more than three years, owners of the iPhone 12 5G (model A2403) were knowingly deceived by APPLE about their true exposure levels and the possible health risks incurred when the cell phone was put in a pants pocket, for example.
In September 2023, the National Frequency Agency (ANFR) made public the tests it had carried out in 2021 showing that APPLE 's iPhone 12 5G exceeded the authorized limit of the specific absorption rate (SAR) "member" by more than 40% (5.74 W/kg instead of 4 W/kg).
Subsequently, France requested its temporary ban and gave APPLE 15 days to carry out a software update in order to resolve this non-compliance with the European rules in force, under penalty of having to, in addition, recall all of these iPhones 12 .
After having, initially, vigorously contested the regulatory exceedances noted by ANFR, APPLE recognized them de facto by agreeing to produce a very minimalist software update which lowers the SAR to 3.94 W/kg for a limit of 4W/kg.
This update, which is due to take place in France on October 10, will have the consequences of restricting the initial technical characteristics, creating the conditions for the equivalent of an imposed technical degradation.
By acting in this way, APPLE, with the approval of the French authorities, is inflicting a double penalty on owners of an iPhone 12. They find themselves either having to buy another cell phone or keeping a less efficient iPhone 12 in terms of connectivity.
APPLE must compensate millions of iPhone 12 users
We therefore request fair compensation for the damage suffered, with the customer's choice:
- Free replacement by APPLE with a more recent model that complies with current standards
- Or equivalent financial compensation for owners not interested in a free replacement.
By signing this petition you will force the giant Apple to be held accountable for its serious failings in terms of safety and health.
