I write this letter as a concerned citizen of India who deeply values our nation's commitment to democracy, environmental conservation, and peaceful dialogue. 🇮🇳🌿

I respectfully request your kind attention to the ongoing hunger strike by Shri Sonam Wangchuk. He is not merely a social reformer or an engineer; he is an internationally respected innovator, educationist, and environmentalist whose work has brought immense pride to India. His pioneering innovations, including the Ice Stupa Project 🧊 and sustainable development initiatives in the Himalayan region, have earned global recognition and have inspired people across the world to find practical solutions to climate change, water conservation, and sustainable living. 🌍💧

The Himalayan ecosystem 🏔️ is one of the most fragile ecological regions on Earth. Its protection is vital not only for the people of Ladakh but also for India's long-term environmental security, water resources, biodiversity, and strategic interests. Shri Wangchuk has consistently advocated for sustainable development, ecological preservation, and responsible governance through peaceful and constitutional means.

His decision to undertake a hunger strike 🕊️ reflects the depth of his concern for the future of Ladakh and its people. Regardless of differing viewpoints on policy matters, I believe that his voice deserves sincere consideration and constructive dialogue. A democracy grows stronger when citizens who raise concerns peacefully are heard with empathy and respect.

I understand that among the issues he has raised is a demand seeking the resignation of the Hon'ble Union Minister for Education, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, in relation to matters that he believes require accountability. While such issues may involve differing perspectives, I respectfully request that all his concerns, including this demand, be examined fairly, transparently, and through due democratic and constitutional processes.

I humbly request your good office to initiate meaningful discussions with Shri Sonam Wangchuk and the representatives concerned, consider their genuine concerns with an open mind, and take appropriate steps towards a peaceful and mutually acceptable resolution. Such an initiative would reaffirm India's commitment to democratic values, environmental stewardship, and respectful dialogue. 🤝🇮🇳

I also earnestly request you to help bring an end to Shri Sonam Wangchuk's fast by addressing his concerns through constructive engagement. His health, wisdom, and continued contribution are invaluable assets for our nation and for the global effort to combat climate change. 🌱
