Thanks to your support and taking action, the appeal for an end to repression in Cuba and the release of all Cuban political prisoners has amassed over 200 petitioners.

This petition resulted in a representative of a European government and a representative of the European Commission, who, recognizing requests in this appeal, outlined the EU's position and asked how many had signed the petition.

A member of Lithuania's parliament signed the appeal.

The situation in Cuba remains dire and is worsening on the human rights front, with predetermined political show "trials" continuing to mete out up to 30-year prison sentences for nonviolently protesting this past summer.

San Isidro leader Luis Manuel Otero Alcántara, jailed since July 11, 2021 is on his sixth day of a hunger and thirst strike protesting his unjust imprisonment.

Fredy Beirut, 64, and his daughter Katia, 36, filmed protests in La Guinera, near their home in Havana, with hundreds of other protesters the following day, and were each sentenced to 20 years in prison on December 23, 2021.

German tourist and dual citizen, Luis Frómeta Compte was sentenced to 25 years in prison on December 23, 2021 for spontaneously filming a demonstration in Havana for private purposes with his smartphone while visiting relatives.

Cuban writer María Cristina Garrido Rodríguez and her sister Angélica Garrido Rodríguez threatened with 15 years in prison, and 10 years in prison for attending 11J protests.

Prosecutor Idania Miranda wants to condemn human rights defenders Félix Navarro (age 68) to 15 years in prison and his daughter Sayli Navarro Álvarez to 11 years in prison. On Sunday January 23, 2022 regime agents grabbed Sayli to prevent her attending Mass.

Over 260 Cubans have been subjected to these proceedings since December 13, 2021.

Please help us to continue to spread the word and highlight this reign of terror, while also demanding accountability.
