February 3rd - Almond Garden Appeal Update

​Hello Neighbors,

I hope this email finds you well. We have an important update and a call to action for everyone, even if you only have a few moments.

Time is short, and our deadline is Wednesday, February 7th.

Key Updates:

• On Tuesday, January 30th, the Suisun City Planning Commission approved the project, despite our concerns about the proposed redesign.
• Our goal is to secure reasonable accommodations for the plan, outlined in our Appeal Letter.

Our Plan: We are pursuing two avenues simultaneously. Ideally we would like to avoid the fees but do not want to risk missing our deadline.

1. Appeal: We are preparing to file an appeal, which requires a $622 fee. We will submit it on Wednesday, February 7th, along with all our signatures.
2. Call for Review: If two City Council members request a review, no fee is needed. We reached out to them on Thursday, February 1st. Councilmember Dawson is unable to participate as she lives on Driftwood Drive.

We've made it easy for everyone to contribute, whether you have a little time or specialized skills:

• Sign the Petition: It takes just a moment to add your signature and support our cause. This is a major factor in our appeal letter.
• Share the Petition: If you can't devote time, spreading the word by sharing the petition with friends and neighbors is incredibly valuable.

• Financial Contributions: John and Riza have covered the $628 required to file an appeal. Any financial support is greatly appreciated and will be documented here.
