Chief Justice of India Stands With Us, Appeals to Media To Act Responsibly

There is hope in sight and we are not alone. The honourable Chief Justice of India N V Ramana has made some much-needed remarks on the state of our media. Expressing concern over “media running kangaroo courts”, the Chief Justice of India said on Saturday that “ill-informed and agenda-driven debates” and “biased views” are weakening democracy. “I urge upon the media, particularly the electronic and social media, to behave responsibly.” Help us share this news and petition with others.
As citizens, we share the CJI’s concerns. I’m sure his appeal resonates with all those who signed and stood by this petition. Here’s hoping that the media heeds this eminent voice of reason and acts responsibly by showing zero tolerance for hate speech by anyone against any religion on their channels.
Please continue to share this petition widely so that our numbers grow until both the Government and media bodies hear us: Click here to spread love and peace through this petition.
Thank you,
