Je suis une voisine, une amie, une maman, une entrepreneure, une bénévole, une cliente proche de chez vous.

Je suis souriante et toujours attentive à mes enfants et aux personnes autour de moi. Je dis bonjour à tout le monde. Je suis joviale. 

Pourtant j'ai vécu de la violence conjugale dès la naissance de mon premier enfant. J'ai traversé beaucoup de choses atroces et horribles que seules les personnes qui ont vécues cet enfer comprennent. 

Je n'avais pas compris que les lois au Québec ne nous protégeaient pas mais protégeaient mieux l'agresseur. 

J'ai été manipulé sur beaucoup de plans pendant mon mariage et pourtant les gens autour de moi vous dirons que je suis une femme forte, créative, une visionnaire, une avant-gardiste, une battante. Et pourtant j'ai enduré durant 6 ans en enfer. Et c'est loin d'être terminé. Les violences post-séparation sont très méconnues du grand public.

Je me suis retrouvée seule à me défendre en justice face à mon bourreau par manque de moyen, de temps et d'énergie. J'ai vu mon beau projet innovant qui devait naitre à St Lazare ralentir au point de s'arrêter avec l'acharnement des procédures. J'ai dû choisir de garder le peu d'énergie qui me restait pour m'occuper de mes enfants et ce, de façon exclusive. 

Un juge en Cour Supérieure a décidé d'aller dans le sens du bourreau, celui qui détruit 3 vies dont 2 qui sont ses propres enfants. 

Il a décidé que l'on devait quitter avant le 30 novembre notre résidence familiale, en pleine scolarité et hiver. Une date soumise par le bourreau.

Une résidence où il n'a même pas vécu une année sur les 5 années. 

Aucun enfant ne devrait vivre ça. Aucune mère ne devrait vivre ça après autant de batailles judiciaires et de violences. 

J'appelle à tous et à toutes qui se reconnaîtront en tant que cette amie, cette voisine, cette cliente, cette maman ou le proche d'une amie qui ne devrait pas vivre ça.

Soutenez- moi, soutenons-nous, soutenez toutes ces femmes qui se retrouvent injustement dans cette situation. Je souhaite demander à un législateur de mettre en priorité l'intérêt supérieur de l'enfant surtout dans un contexte de violence conjugale. 

En Ontario et en Colombie-Britannique, l'enfant est une priorité lors des séparations. Le Québec a du chemin à faire. 

Le système judiciaire doit être impérativement formé sur la violence conjugale incluant la violence économique. Les enjeux actuels sont énormes pour les femmes qui se séparent.

Cancel winter eviction of mother and children by abusive ex-spouse/father

I am a neighbor, a friend, a mother, an entrepreneur, a volunteer, a client near you.

I am smiling and always attentive to my children and the people around me. I say hello to everyone. I am cheerful.

Yet, I experienced domestic violence from the birth of my first child. I have been through a lot of excruciating and horrible things that only people who have been through this hell understand.

I had not understood that the laws in Quebec were not protecting us, but protected the aggressor better.

I was manipulated on many levels during my marriage and yet people around me would tell you that I am a strong, creative woman, a visionary, a forward-thinker, a fighter. However, I endured for 6 years in hell. And it's far from over. Post-separation violence is largely unknown to the general public.

I found myself alone defending myself in court against my executioner for lack of means, time and energy. I saw my great innovative project, which was to be born in St-Lazare, slow down to the point of stopping with the relentlessness of the procedures. I had to choose to keep the little energy I had left to take care of my children and this, in an exclusive way.

A Superior Court judge decided to go in the direction of the executioner, the one who destroys 3 lives, 2 of which are his own children.

He decided that we had to leave our family residence before November 30, in the first quarter of the school year and the cold days just around the corner. A date submitted by the executioner.

A home, where he has not even lived one year out of the 5 years.

No child should go through this. No mother should go through this after so many legal battles and violence.

I call on everyone who will recognize themselves as this friend, neighbor, client, mom or loved one of a friend who shouldn't be going through this.

Support me, support us, support all these women who find themselves unfairly in this situation. I would like to ask a legislator to put the best interests of the child first, especially in the context of domestic violence.

In Ontario and British Columbia, the child is a priority during separations. Quebec has a long way to go.

The judicial system must imperatively be trained on domestic violence, including economic violence. The current stakes are enormous for women who separate.
