Dear all,

Today I sent a copy of your signatures and a letter to UN secretary general Mr Guterras,  and UNICEF executive director Mr Sparkes, UN security council and few other contacts at UN.

The letter was as follows:

to sgcentral, education-outreach, jsparkes@unicef.org.uk, dpa-scsb3, dpa-repertoire, ohchr-civilsociety

Dear Mr Guterres, Dear Mr Sparkes,

I am a paediatrician working in the UK for over 15 years. My birth country was Iran.

During the last 4 weeks over 28 child protesters have been killed in Iran and hundreds have been imprisoned , many tortured and many have been sent to psychiatric units for "Correction" as reported by Islamic Republic mainstream media.

Islamic Republic of Iran has been clearly violating several articles of children's rights in the UN convention of the rights of the child, ie: article 5, article 6, article 9, article 12, article 13, article 14, article 15, article 17, article 19 and more. As Islamic Republic has signed the convention on the rights of the child, we demand UN and UNICEF to defend this convention, to defend innocent children who are currently imprisoned in Iran by the Islamic Regime of Iran (and currently are kept in appalling conditions which is seriously affecting their physical, emotional and mental health) by condemning these crimes as Crimes Against Humanity in addition to demanding immediate release of all child protesters.

It is the duty of the UN and UNICEF to be the driving force for realization of every right of every child in the world, therefore we ask you to utilize your power provided to you by the world's nations and stand tall to defend the rights of Iranian children who are peacefully protesting against oppression and consequently severely beaten, arrested, tortured and harmed mentally, physically and emotionally. Children are the most vulnerable and innocent members of the body of humanity and the pillars of the future. It is everyone's duty but especially your duty and within your power to protect them by holding governments accountable for their crimes and for violations of the convention of children's rights.

It is in your power to defend those children and we demand you use your power to voice contempt and condemnations for those heinous crimes.

Please demand immediate release of child protesters and condemn these crimes as Crimes Against Humanity.

Children are the hearts of humanity and crimes against them are Crimes Against Humanity.

This principle should be what everyone in the UN and UNICEF stands for.

Kind regards,
