Shane and Kerri-Ann share photo of Hemi in his last hours

IN an extremely strong move by Shane and Kez, they are showing, for the first time, an intimate picture of their precious Hemi in his final hours just prior to his life support being turned off. They show you these pictures now, not because they want to but because something must move people to stand with them and almost 6000 others in ensuring that no other child's life is so meaningless to the Qld Justice system that the Court only gives 4 years non parole to a child killer. If Hemi's last hours on Earth following horrendous abuse and torture is what will move people to make change, to scream louder, than Kez and Shane feel that it is worth people seeing what they saw in their last final and private hours with their beloved child. Shane Burke makes this statement with his release: "Our Justice system is failing. Will you stand with us. Our son Hemi was beaten. Tortured over at least a 10 hour period. And then pulled so hard by his leg that his brain stem was severed. His killer was charged with torture and murder but through back door deals made with the prosecution the torture charge was removed and the murder charge was dropped down to manslaughter for an early plea of guilty. We're calling for a review of Hemi's case in the hopes it will find out what went wrong. How can our crown think 4 years is enough for beating a child all day until his death. How can this even be enough time for rehabilitation. We didn't get a trial we didn't get answers. And to make matters worse the killer will be eligible for parole in March 2019.
