The foster brother of allegedly murdered Queensland school girl Tiahleigh Palmer could be out of jail in January. Trent Thorburn, 20, confessed to his mother in late October 2015 he’d had sex with Tiahleigh amid fears the young girl was pregnant. He was sentenced to four years’ jail after pleading guilty to four charges including incest, attempting to pervert justice and perjury at the Beenleigh District Court today. After serving almost a year in pre-sentence custody, Thorburn’s sentence will be wholly suspended for a period of five years on January 20, 2018. ...
