Jakob's Voice, and particularly Katherine Oakey, is working with another family who have been touched by the tragedy of a child being murdered. Jakob and Bradyn's mothers, Katherine and Rachel, appeared on an unprecedented ABC documentary 'Behind Closed Door' that looked at ACT Government failings in the deaths of their boys (both abused - 1 in Qld with no justice served, both dead - 1 as a result of an horrific murder) Sentencing will take place in December 2017 for this offender. In Canberra we have seen paedophiles who abused children over decades receive lessor sentences than drug dealers (you can read that particular ACT justice failing in our album 'No Child Should Be Harmed' on Facebook). We are hoping that true justice is served for Bradyn Dillon and his family in December. Katherine Oakey (founding member and coordinator of Jakob's Voice) is still attempting to find justice in Qld and Canberra for the failings of justice in his abuse and holding the government agency responsible for his death accountable. This is an Australia wide issue and, as such, when we close this petition at 10,000 signatures, it will be delivered to all state and territory Justice Ministers.
