Animal testing is a procedure that is performed on specific animals that involves testing human products on animals to see if it is harmful or not. During this activity, animals can get severely injured and each year, there are more than 110 million different kinds of animals that get sickened with these toxic chemicals and this usually results in death. Many of these tests are useless because many of the drugs that get tested on these animals usually end up failing on humans afterwards. Some animals may even have a chance of extinction if this still continues to happen as often as it does. 

The most common species of animals used for testing are mice and rats. Mice and rats are used so often that over 111 million of them die each year because of these dangerous procedures. These rodents are tested the most because their genetics are scientifically the closest to human genetics. Rats are used a lot more than mice because their brains are larger and rats are more intelligent than mice which causes them to react differently to other things. If mice and rats are still the most common animals for this use in another decade or so, they have a chance of extinction because they are the animals that are used the most. 

Many people in the world have many different thoughts about animal testing and what should be done about it. There are various reasons why animal testing should stop being performed. For example, only around 3% of the animals that are tested end up surviving these experiments and 91% of these tests that are successful on animals end up failing on humans themselves. If that 97% of animals that die during these actions are used a lot of the time then they have a chance to be endangered. Scientifically, animals don't get half of the diseases humans do so as a result, an animal could die because of this medication they are given while a human could react perfectly fine and that animal was used for no reason. In conclusion, people should take action now and do something about it and stop this procedure before it becomes something bigger and worse and there will be nothing we can do about it.
