Friend,
I wish I had better news to share with you today.
I wish I could tell you that the raid on this roadside slaughterhouse in the Philippines is already underway — that the dogs are already safe, and that the killing has stopped.
But the truth is, we’re not quite there yet.
The location is active. Dogs are still being dragged in and slaughtered. Our investigators are ready, and our police partners are standing by.
The plan is in place. The only thing we’re still waiting on is funding.
This is the part of our work we hate writing about but honesty matters.
As the person responsible for authorising this operation, I can’t give the go-ahead to the team until the remaining costs are covered. That includes investigators on the ground, emergency veterinary care, transport, and safe placement for the dogs once they’re removed.
Right now, we are still short of what’s needed to proceed.
I want to be very clear about this: I’m not asking for sympathy. I'm not exaggerating. And I'm not walking away. I'm ready to act.
Friend, will you rush a lifesaving gift right now to help us close down this slaughterhouse and rescue any remaining dogs?
If you’re able to help today, even with a small gift, your support will directly determine whether this intervention goes ahead.
This isn’t about a campaign goal or a deadline on a screen. It’s about whether we can step in before more dogs are killed.
Thank you for standing with us and for caring enough to be here at this moment. I truly wish this email had been easier to write.
For all animals,
Jacob Lloyd
Chief Executive
Animal Welfare Investigations Project
P.S. I want to be completely transparent. As the person responsible for authorising this operation, I cannot give the go ahead to our team until the remaining costs are covered. If you are able to help today, your support genuinely makes the difference.
