Badger baiting is one of the most brutal blood sports still tearing through the UK. Gangs force their dogs into badger setts, trap the animals underground, and dig them out while they panic and fight to protect their young.
Once exposed, the badger is dragged into the open and torn apart by a pack of blood-trained dogs. Pregnant females are ripped from the earth. Mothers are pulled from their cubs. Badgers who try to defend themselves are beaten, kicked, or stabbed to keep the fight going. Some gangs even break a badger’s jaw or legs or pull out their teeth to guarantee a longer, more “entertaining” attack.
And the cruelty doesn’t stop with the badgers, Friend. The dogs are left with deep gashes, shattered jaws, and torn faces. Instead of getting help, the hunters stitch the dogs up on dirty floors with no pain relief, no antibiotics, and no mercy. If a dog is too injured to fight again, they shoot it or leave it to die.
