In war-torn Ukraine, a man drove a metal hook through Finir’s head — through his skull — and used it to chain him to a tree so he couldn’t move.
He was left there, blinded, unable to lie down, unable to escape the agony. No food. No water. No one to help him.
Finir was left to suffer in silence.
But someone did help him — eventually. A small local rescue team found him barely alive, his head swollen and matted with blood and infection. They acted quickly. They cut the chain. They took him straight to the vet. Honestly... they saved his life.
These rescuers work on the frontline of a conflict zone. They don’t have funding. They don’t have political support. They just have their courage — and their compassion.
And right now, they’re desperately struggling to pay for Finir’s care.
With your help, we’ve already raised over £3,500 toward Finir’s treatment, including emergency care, pain relief, antibiotics, and the casework to ensure his abuser faces consequences.
But we’re not there yet. Our target is £5,000. We’re still £1,500 short. And today is the last day.
Even after all that had been done to him, Finir still trusted people. He still wanted love.
